Haiku 254, 273, 274: The Theme is Travel

You may remember some of these from the Installment Plan Poetry Marathon. Or not. Take a look and see…

254.
When the east wind blew
you weren’t tied down tight enough
to keep you at home
4/15/17

273.
Four-city bus tour
Indelible memories
of naps in plush seats
5/27/17

274.
Icy parking lot
at the fancy ladies’ shop
Purchase your cruisewear
5/29/17

  1. Thank you! I don’t travel much now, but…I have a lot of memories. The cruisewear idea will reoccur in a few months, I feel sure, when we get really cold weather…

  2. These are great. It seems to me that each haiku pivots in the final line. The middle one made me chuckle. I love the irony of sleeping on a tour bus instead of taking in the sights but it also reminded me of many a lengthy bus journey on decidedly uncomfortable seats.
