Haiku 253, 255, 260, 283: The Theme is Words and Writing

You may remember some of these from recent sessions of the Installment Plan Poetry Marathon: here they are again.

253.
The ream of paper
paid for with a credit card
awaits mortgaged words
4/15/17

255.
The postcard arrived.
Yesterday. The coconut palms
rustle in the breeze.
4/15/17

260.
The first words written
by a new pen set the tone
for all that follow.
4/11/17

283.
Half-finished letter
pocket full of paper scraps
mailbox stands empty
7/5/17
