When the Wind Changed Directions

When the Wind Changed Directions

I wouldn’t have thought my judgment could be so off
but I plead good intentions. I think better of you
than you deserve and for that
I am not sorry. But now I must amend my opinion, you do see that,
don’t you,
in light of recent information?
And so I cannot lend you any money.

  1. Sometimes you have to put your foot down, don’t you?…I made the collage as part of a group, for a mail art event, the topic was “Economy”.

  2. Even though this poem is from some time back, I have been very interested in boundaries recently, having realized I wasn’t as aware of needing some or removing some (depending) as I needed to be, or that the boundary had fallen down, etc. (I may be painting this soon, I think, I am getting a lot of pictures in my mind of fences, falling down, fields,, etc….!)
