Tanka 31

31.
The wind twists itself
around the open casement
rushing to make up
time lost on the road. Slides in
laughing. Curls up on the bed.

  1. Thank you. I read the poem again with your slant on it in mind and what a great new set of images came to me! Because you know, when you write something, you have in your mind what it is, and that crowds out any other ideas – but when a reader offers a new perspective, I feel I get a bonus or a gift, something new! Thank you.

  2. You curl or twist like the wind, and wonder what thought or feeling trigger the laughing? Perhaps some reminiscence to make up for the time lost.
