Breakthrough

From Look Winter in the Face, a poetry collection published in 2015.

Breakthrough

Rows of white streaks march off
cross the sky into disappearance
Regimented and orderly
I cannot think what
They are
the rows of fluorescent lights
on the ceiling above me.
Problem-solving,
they have transferred themselves to the window glass
escaped outside
and away

  1. Thank you. Funny what strikes you as you go through the day – who would think light fixtures would catch my eye, but they did, and lead to such thoughts? There is nothing like writing, a pleasure, always.
