  1. Yes. It is funny how many factors go into giving, and how something neutral in itself, or even positive, can be turned the other way just by who presents the “gift”.

  2. Ooooooh. I love this one. The ambivalent reaction is perfectly conveyed. I can relate to the experience of receiving gifts that came with certain baggage or were otherwise tainted.
