The Meaning, The Very Kernel, of Life

A Twenty-Minutes poem.

The Meaning, The Very Kernel, of Life

Six persons taking notes
using six pens to scrawl down phrases such as
customer satisfaction complaint rate
inventory control shelf space new products
and
six tablets getting filled up with all this nonsense.
One person talking with urgent force
customer satisfaction complaint rate
inventory control shelf space new products.
One hour and a bit over slipping by
in this truly pleasant manner
where does the time go?
and then
Seven people gathering up and getting back
to doing whatever they can find to do
to pass the time
until the next staff meeting

  1. Thank you. I wrote this after watching a meeting at my grocery store of some of the staff (I was eating in the café section and they were there for the meeting). I felt very happy I did not have to do any of these things in this poem.
