Summer Memory

A Twenty Minutes poem.

Summer Memory

Chack chack chack
the bird says
soft and clear
as the wind blows in
a batch of clouds
and spreads them across the sky
The morning glory opens its blooms
to begin a day
of twining along the electric wire

Morning Glories 7-12 small

Morning glories in our garden, three summers ago.

  1. Thank you, I am surprised how often the list of poems (I am just posting them in alphabetical order from this collection) seem to fit the day they are assigned to on the blog. Very gray today…a nice warm summer flower cheered me up, too.
