Planned Ahead

A Twenty Minutes poem.

Planned Ahead

Much colder today than yesterday
and if we had no weather forecast
we’d just be accepting it
but we complain
at the cold
the sheet of frost on the roof
our fingers needing the gloves we forgot to pick up
as we left the house
because we knew
it was coming

  1. I love this. We can complain “because we knew/it was coming.” The lines even look like dripping icicles. 🙂

  2. Do you take these photos with your phone, or do you carry a camera? I’m always forgetting my camera, and I don’t like the photos I take with my phone for the most part. It’s good to be prepared!

  3. I usually use my camera – I have a Panasonic Lumix point and shoot that does a great job and it’s small, so I always have it in my purse or bag or whatever I am carrying. I especially like it for the closeups and for the zoom. I use the phone camera if I don’t have the real one, but like you, I don’t like the pictures as much.

  4. You get great images with that camera. Mine is a Canon, and it too is small, I just often forget to stick it in my bag. But as you know, there are interesting photo ops all around all the time…

  5. Yes, once I got in the habit of taking it with me, I enjoy taking photos a lot more, too, because I know I have a better chance of getting something nice. It is amazing what that little camera can do.
