Out of Shape

A Twenty Minutes poem.

Out of Shape

The rain is coming down so hard
that cars are pulling over
to wait it out
I see one parked across the street
The driver’s face
impatient, questioning,
bored
Staring out
through the rain-streaked window
its wavy surface
just for a moment
twisting her face
into someone
terrified
and then back to
bored
