Haiku Group Stars

Stretch out my fingers
Scratch the stars out of the sky
Store them in a jar.

Hands bent into claws
rake the stars from the night sky
but cannot hold them.

The feeble stars hang
in the light-polluted sky
lucky no longer

As luck would have it
the stars have lost their power
to sodium lights

Change your own fortune
scrape your hand across the sky
rearrange the stars

Scrub away the stars
Dismiss the fortuneteller
Your revenge on fate?

The stars deceived you.
Worse, they stuck you with the bill.
But still you trust them.
