Wild Card

From snippets to all-out collage poetry. This one is done on a mail art postcard.

Wild Card

Anything was in the air and
it would turn and look again.
Some things keep coming back.
the flowering bush strong and fresh.
a criminal and a change of heart,
a tourist in town. twice.
a mechanic, in a hurry to leave
and The car not fully insured.
the familiar voice saying,
it’s a family affair. I have nothing to hide.

  1. The postcard looks fantastic, and the poem is has a good feel to it. Putting them together though… it just makes both of them that much better, especially with the way the words were arranged and with the varying sizes of the type.
