Then and Now and Again

I wrote this haiku a long time ago – fifteen years, so that’s fifteen winters, and yet today we have a day just like what I described. A sense of continuity and the fitness of things, that’s what reading this haiku about winter made me feel.

Wind brooms the sky clean

sweeping clouds right out of sight

with great gusty strokes.
