Change of Season

I was sitting at my dining room table yesterday and looking out the window as I ate lunch. It was a windy day with the sun coming in and out of the clouds, the light variable with moments of sharp clarity and then fading.

And here is what I saw:

Leaf by falling leaf
autumn dismantles summer
with sure breezy ease

  1. No, it’s about 3 years old, I think, or maybe 2, I do know I sold it a couple of years ago, so it was at least that. I did wonder about it at the time, the orange tree was so orange, but people seemed to like it, and so did I, so it all worked out!

  2. Thank you. We had a very hard winter last year and I’ve worried about another one coming, but I have decided to take each day as it comes and enjoy them for what they are, and that is so easy to do at this time of year!

  3. Thank you. The painting was 20″ x 16″, as I remember it, certainly no bigger, and not smaller, either, as I am thinking about it. Enough room to work with but no extra, I remember thinking as I was painting this one…
