Downpour Haiku Group

It rained very hard last Friday and so – of course – I framed my thoughts in a couple of haikus.

1.
Looking up, we ask:
Will the sky run out of rain
before our nerves snap?

2.
This downpour explains
how much rain the sky can hold-
Enough, and then some

  1. Thank you! I got started on haiku when I helped in a workshop at my son’s school when he was in 4th grade – (now 26, so you can see it has been a while!). I just loved the form and the idea of expressing myself in so few words. Like a tiny painting or collage, I always think.
