Haiku Cousins

Here are two haikus I did last week. A lot of rain fell that morning, followed by gradual clearing and a breezy afternoon. I had too many ideas for one haiku and some words that appealed to me, so I came up with two haikus that have a relationship but aren’t the same. I don’t know, I just liked doing things this way!

Trees shake off rain drops
faster than the sun dries them
from glittering leaves

Rain clouds break and run
trees shake off glittering drops
Sidewalk staccato
